5 Best Restaurants with Outdoor Seating in Nashville, Tennessee

Outdoor dining is awesome! There are no two ways about it. Picture the scene: you’re sitting outside in the open air, having a blast with your friends and family while the sun is setting, there’s live music playing in the background and the food is absolutely delicious. That is essentially the perfect night out, especially in a place like Nashville, where the moderate climate means that the weather is pleasant all year.

Now we know that image we just painted for you probably has you wanting to go out for a meal tonight. There’s just one problem: you don’t know what restaurants can provide gorgeous outdoor sittings and good food at the same time.

Luckily for you, we’ve gone through all of them, and come up with a list (in no particular order, because comparison is the thief of joy) of the five best restaurants with outdoor dining in Nashville.

The Yellow Porch

Located on Thompson Lane, is exactly the type of place you’d want to go out on the weekend for a great meal and a better time. A restaurant that specializes in casual fine dining, the atmosphere is very much painted on the walls (quite literally), with beautiful paintings hanging throughout the dining room.

There is then the patio, a beautiful area encompassed by foliage and flora. The whole area is designed to give you a revitalizing dining experience, and it comes through in spades.

However, The Yellow Porch is far from just all swagger and no service. The food is impressive, with a menu jam-packed with Mediterranean influences.

Ellington’s

Located on the 4th floor of the Fairlane Hotel, Ellington’s has some of the most unique food in Nashville. The blueprint is as such: famous foods from the 20th Century, but with a modern spin on them. The wraparound terrace provides the perfect outdoor setting to enjoy your medieval cuisine meets fine dining meal.

Acme Feed & Seed

Located at Lower Broadway, Acme Feed & Seed is what would happen if you had a machine that turned cities into restaurants and put Nashville into it. The food, drinks, setting, and atmosphere all embody the nature and characteristics of Nashville and its people, meaning that whenever you visit, it feels like home.

Zeppelin Nashville Rooftop Restaurant

Zeppelin, as the name indicates, is a rooftop restaurant, automatically making it open-air. However, what’s special about Zeppelin is its ability to transition from indoor to outdoor dining in a matter of a few moments. Its bi-fold windows can be completely opened and closed, adjusted at the behest of the weather. Chef Aaron Thebault does an exceptional job with the food, making this a perfect outdoor (and indoor) restaurant.

The Treehouse Restaurant

You’re eating in a treehouse. I don’t know what else I could say to convince you to try this place out because if that doesn’t, nothing will. The lighting bouncing off the wood creates an extremely mellow vibe, especially late at night. A constantly changing menu headed by pro-chef Jason Zygmont, the food is outstanding and caps off a sublime experience.
